    country stretching up to 482 km.

   etc. The largest brackish water lake of Asia- Chilika and identified as the

   most famous Ramsar Site covering about 1100sq. kms, a massive confluence

   of more than one million of winter migratory birds. Shelter point of rare species

   of Irrawady Dolphins, Chilika.

Ø The largest estuarine crocodile sanctuary in the country -Bhitarkanika 

    Wildlife Sanctuary on the eastern coast of Orissa. The length of some of

    the crocodiles are more than 7 meters and placed in the Guinese Books of 

    World Record. Amongst the most exotic wild life circuits –Siimlipal- the 

    fourth best tiger reserve forfforest of India dotted by beautiful water falls, 

    flora & fauna, fabulous eco diversity.

Ø The first white tiger safari in the world –Nandan Kanon near Bhubaneswar. 

    The largest white tiger reserve in the world-Nandan Kanan Ranking amongst

    the first series of rock edict - Ashokan Rock Edict at Dhauli famous as the 

    White Peace Pagoda where Ashok - The Great shunned his cruelty and  

    embraced Buddhism.

Ø Budhist shrines of the Diamond Triangle - Lalitgiri, Ratnagir & Udaigiri and

    the ancient site Budhist University Puspagiri. New excavations at Langudi, 

    throwing more light on Budhism in Orissa. The center of origin of Kalachakra, 

    the Budhist Tantric cult at Ratnagiri in the Diamond Triangle.

Ø The footsteps to Jainism with the ancient caves of Jaina monks and the 

    primitive Jainite Inscriptions at Khandagiri and Udaigiri Hills near 

    Bhubaneswar.


Ø  Amongst four Yogini Shrines in the country two are in Orissa - one at 

    Heerapur, the other one at Ranipur-harial the 1000 year old shrines depicts 

    unique hair styles, attires and ornaments.

 

Ø The only receding sea in Asia, a Vanishing Sea Experience at  Chandipur - 

    on Sea where the sea recedes back 6 to 7 kms every day.
